Omori

2020

A lot of things didn't work for me.
The first hours are not very interesting at all. Actually, the whole Dream World parts are kinda lame. For a game that wants to talk about dark themes as guilt, suicide and trauma, just don't make sense to me spend hours and hours in a silly fantasy universe engaged in dull quests and battles that do almost nothing for the story.
The Real World sections are much more compelling, as we can grow some real attachment to the characters and their dramas. It's at the malancolic parts that Omori do better.
But then comes that fucked up revelation near the end, and I just couldn't care for the game anymore. Its a damn far-fetched twist, pure shock value that doesn't match with the character personality and just feels dissonant.
