After messing around with the side modes more and still failing to get any better at the base game, the spell may have been broken. I love the premise and visuals of the game, but think a little more fine tuning would have gone a long way. The side modes exemplify this, with most of them being pretty throw away. What could have served as solid distractions are borderline unplayable unless your already a master at the game. Play a speedy version of this game on hard mode and last 60 seconds. Its a challenge I'll give it that, but what would be the point exactly? You'd expect a puzzle mode of some kind or a tweaked version of the main game like maybe constant rain that you have to endure by reducing the water level in some other way. How about boards that have different lay outs? You get a mode where the starting playfield is raised but that doesn't do end up effecting things in any noticeable way.

I've seemed to reach a plateau in how long I can last. It's beginning to become frustrating, all though still one I have a hard time putting down. The practice mode is too easy at this point, lasting way too long. It's too bad there's not a proper difficulty option to allow for some kind of middle ground.
