Being able to get properly inside the Psychonauts world and get up close and personal with the great characters is enough of a sell for me. There's not much to this, it's a really well written, simplistic VR puzzle game that show up, charms the pants off you then fucks off before it outstays its welcome. Doesn't ask too much of you, either. It's a totally stationary VR experience that feels like you're in a classic LucasArts point and click adventure.

There's some decent gags, some important character developments and a lot of plot points that are referenced in the sequel in quite subtle ways and I'm extremely glad I made the effort to play through this before getting stuck into Psychonauts 2.
