applefritter reviewed Mario the Juggler
High Scores:
Game A: 110
Game B: 1000

I get the jist. It's not really difficult enough to hold my attention for too long, but I also appreciate that it's not really frustrating. Pretty fair and simple challenge all things considered, and while the pace can be a bit slow, it's honestly pretty alright. Apparently it's a remake of the original 'Ball' Game & Watch, but I've never played that.
For Ball being an early Game & Watch game, it definitely set the foundation well.

applefritter reviewed Super Mario Bros.
Original iteration of the SMB Game & Watch.
About the same but with less Mario esque visuals. I appreciate the dedication to the consistent 'Game & Watch' look for the characters, but I think I prefer how the later iterations of this handheld look.
That being said, I don't think the gameplay is different enough to dock off anything substantial in terms of score, especially since this one is still pretty charming in it's own right.
See my other Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch review for thoughts on the gameplay proper.

While Green House is probably still my favorite, this is a pretty cute adaptation of Super Mario Bros. for the Game & Watch. There's a shocking amount of variety packed into this thing and they even get some of Koji Kondo's iconic tunes in too.
My main issue is that on replays the levels can be a bit of a slog due to being autoscrollers... but in terms of the gameplay itself, it's actually quite fun for being a Game & Watch title. I love how they integrated things like fire bars and even water levels even if it wasn't entirely clear what was happening at first.
I would love to see this in something like Game & Watch Gallery or a fangame reimagining aspects of this to work out some of the small kinks, as the limitations of the Game & Watch hold it back from being anything super special, but for what it is it's pretty alright!
