Episode 1.

Loving everything in regards to the overall game design & technology - real innovation from Wolfenstein 3D > Doom > Quake, dunno why I haven't actually played through it before.

As for the first episode, Tim Willits' levels are great and have a fantastic cohesion. Romero's opening level perhaps would have been better suited before the episode select area as it feel very disconnected from the rest of the episode, though I do understand that that would give people les immediacy to choose a specific episode to jump to like they did in Doom (though the fact you have to beat all 4 episodes to unlock the final boss makes it feel like maybe that shouldn't be the case? I dunno).

Mission 5 is like the most American McGee level I've ever played, so it came out of nowhere after Willits' stuff, but it's not bad, plus full mouselook and jump button make his platforming tendencies actually work. His boss arena is extremely well designed for a fast pace bullet-sponge boss, except then you realize it's not that and you just have to puss buttons to kill him and the whole bottom level is just pointless.

Overall though, loving it! Excited for Romero's episode next.

OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT TRENT REZNOR'S SOUND DESIGN AND SCORE! HOLY SHIT!
