i just do not give a single fuck about any of these characters. "shitty characters being shitty to each other" is a decent enough premise by itself, but i feel like the game expects me to care about these characters, which i don't. the ostensibly most interesting thing we get to learn about (why johnny betrayed ray) is made mundane. johnny seemingly hates ray immediately and his betrayal is put in a petty and borderline malicious light. some of these missions are fun, but again, i just do not care about what happens to these characters whatsoever. i don't really feel anything for them and find them to be mostly boring caricatures. there's more i can say about this DLC, but honestly, what's the point? you have all the information you need to know right there.

it's a pretty good concept honestly, it just had a subpar execution and needed to be longer so the events happening actually make sense and are impactful because the pacing is absolute dogshit, billy is gone way too early and then you kill him at the end and there's just no impact, brian is so forgettable and is somehow even worse than johnny (johnny being one of the worst characters in the game). jim's death was also always going to be not very impactful as he dies randomly in IV, and in TLAD you only get the torture scene with ray then ashley tells you he's dead. the writing was funny sometimes though and it was cool to see a punk approach to GTA like this.
