It transports us to the vibrant and scenic region of Toussaint, offering a refreshing change from the main game’s darker settings. The plot centers around a fearsome beast causing havoc in the region, and Geralt’s quest to uncover the truth leads him to a superior vampire named Detlaff. The story is filled with tension, drama, and a dash of humor, making it one of the most engaging narratives in gaming history. The expansion provides around 20 to 25 hours of gameplay, featuring captivating characters and intriguing side quests. Despite some parts being slightly monotonous, the overall narrative experience, especially the multiple endings and plot twists, more than compensates for it. Blood and Wine showcases CD Projekt Red’s knack for creating a compelling and comprehensive DLC that’s worth every cent.
