Elden Ring is one of those games that isn't everybody's cup of tea. But god damn this is my tea, in fact this is my water. Elden Ring was ridiculously impactful for the industry of souls borne games. Before Elden Ring souls borne games ran a bit like this 'fight boss, die fight boss, die , fight boss, die, fight boss, win, yay now onto the next boss.' but in Elden Ring its not like that at all. If you can't beat a boss, don't worry about it! Leave get stronger and come back to beat their ass later! The graphics are incredible and even for non souls borne players like myself before this game, it is truly a phenomenal experience. Plus the lore made this game even better as your genuinely curious to learn about who your fighting, it strings the open world together and makes it make sense rather than just some random sandbox with weird dragons because 'yeah sure that'll do.'. This game brought so much to the gaming industry and I think it's the greatest of all time. (ps I've now platinum'd it)
