expands on and recontextualizes mle/mlu in exceedingly clever ways. some moments feel very forced, but overall this is a good vn with stellar presentation

What moments are you referring to as forced?

@zoda most significant character deaths because of how dragged out they are. especially in the very end

not forced because of them happening, mind you; they just take way too fucking long. a certain moment where the theme song plays is especially aggravating and eye-rolling

Ah I was expecting it being related to the ptsd, I see some complaints about it but ion really get it. That’s understandable tho, some of them are a bit dragged. How did u feel about the event that happened directly after chomp? Did u think that was forced too ?

@zoda nah not at all. all of my complaints are tied directly to just thinking that the overly long and telegraphed deaths are annoying and predictable, with the last one in particular trying way too hard to force a reaction when it'd be much more effective if the event happened in a way that felt natural and realistic

i think everything associated with 'chomp' and the ptsd arc is fantastic. very gut-punchy without being shoved in your face like, LOOK, THAT CHARACTER YOU LIKE IS DYING NOW!! FEEL BAD!!!

basically, if it starts to feel like the author is trying to make me feel bad rather than it feeling like a natural event in the work, then i roll my eyes and my immersion is broken
