I'm so glad I finally went back and finished this game. A great example of From Software's design from the Souls series being executed in a much different context. Bloodborne requires you to be much more aggressive in a world full of gothic monstors and Lovecraftian monstrosities.
I have to say, including the DLC this has to be the hardest From Software game, at least for me. This style is just so much trickier to nail down and definitely isn't as open to working around challenges as the main Souls series. That's not a bad thing overall, but it does make for a more frustrating experience.
Unfortunately, this is also one of From's less technically sound games, and I know a lot of that can be blamed on the limited PlayStation 4. What can't be blamed on that is the camera, which in certain boss fights can be the worst thing I've seen in any of their games. Certain levels and bosses definitely have some bullshit going on, which I can't fully forgive but will partially because the point is you have a lot more aggressive tools to overcome this.
Is this my favorite From Software game? No, but it's a damn great one deserving of your time.
