This game is barely functional and yet is still one of the greatest games ever made. It's shockingly rare for games to let you actually roleplay, and this game really delivers in that department. New Vegas gives you an incredible amount of agency in how you approach everything. You can be a vicious psychopath who kills with explosives, or an honor-bound soldier who sticks with military issue weapons, or be anyone else. And all these characters and builds work because the story and world is absolutely phenomenal to back it up. Everything has so many layers, and is deeply compelling to see to the end.
