idk, i think this is... a $5 game, this long after release? maybe $10 if you're really stretching it. absolutely not $15. sproggiwood isn't good. sproggiwood is okay. it's very cutesy & mechanically it's pretty simple, but a lot of times it feels stupidly unfair for what it is. (FUCK the enemies where you have to kill the two bonded ones on the same turn or they respawn. dogshit mechanic.) it's entirely possible there's stuff i just never understood that would make it easier, but the game also does not do a great job of explaining things to you! you can spend money on getting starting gear... but there's so many classes & so many options and you find gear in dungeons so often it feels worthless.

also there's this... village builder thing? i don't know what that's about. i don't understand it.

sproggiwood is fine. sproggiwood is a mediocre roguelike with cutesy design & very low buy-in because it's arrow keys and mouse and turn-based movement. it's not a big game filesize-wise. you can open it, play a couple of stages, and close it. but in 2023? fuck, dude, there's better roguelikes out there for $15. maybe in 2014 it was different! it probably was! i don't know when i bought this game! but in 2023? just play a different roguelike.
