After playing the whole Bayonetta series, I never got the references like Team Little Angels and that big fiery spider. NOW I GET IT. This is the birth of the ACTION GENRE, the hacky slashy, button mashy goodness.
At first starting out, I heard the game was super duper difficult, comparing it to Dark Souls, I was like whoa and I’m aware how difficult the retro CAPCOM games. First few missions, I had to get used to the fixed camera and the platforming, but towards half way, things got easier once I acquired on my best friends, the shotgun.
I was like BOOM BOOM BAM, and then I met the one and only, Grenadier. THAT THINGS OP, grenade rolling is pretty busted, but that was all I did. The bosses were pretty terrible like Nelo and the Blob thing, holy moly they got me twisted.
But after a while, my combo was grenade, jump for i-frames, slash down, 3 combo, lunge, grenade, rinse and repeat, got like 3 stylish points for those.
The combat wasn’t too bad, the story with Trish throwing a bike and was like “I ain’t coming after you” bruh what. The similarities with RE4 and DMC1 is very obvious, like escaping the island, blew my noggin too. Great action game no cap.
