frequently funny, occasionally though provoking. a game with a lot of thematic ideas that unfortunately don't always feel congruent with one another. just vibes~

i'm a sucker for this game's flavor of aged janky controls but the 1990s sierra adventure game bullshit level of the puzzles really grated on my nerves. it's a good thing the narrative and atmosphere more than make up for whatever shortcomings rest in the gameplay, angela's story especially.

A couple seriously annoying boss fights aren't quite enough to dampen this one-of-a-kind game. Off-the-wall, hilarious, and disturbing, killer7 is an action-adventure-survival-horror-rail-shooter that you'd be hard pressed to see get released by a major publisher today. I long for the days of publishers taking chances like this.

Pretty fun 3D Metroidvania. The movement is great, although the combat leaves a bit to be desired, and the lack of a map at the time of writing this review makes exploration a bit of a chore at times. I felt a bit dissatisfied by the conclusion, but I can't be too harsh on a game of this scope.

I played through this one mostly to satiate my inner child. Not the worst way to spend an afternoon, but certainly not very good either.

It's fun until it hits a brick wall at about the halfway point.
