I think this is excellent as both a sequel to Breath of the Wild as well as just a game. The world is expansive and full of things to do. There are side quests and collectibles in every nook and cranny of the game to the point where you never get bored. The additions of the sky islands and the depths add enough variation to the works to make it not feel like a clone of Breath of the Wild even though the surface is the same map with some changes.

The story turned out to be surprising coherent despite my early thoughts of it being messy and nonsensical. After finding and watching the various cutscenes, it is satisfying to be able to piece together what exactly happened in the past to lead up to the events of the game.

The amount of content and quests to do in this game is staggering to the point where it is not realistic to expect to complete all of it. I put off finishing the story for weeks because I was trying to complete a lot of the optional content, but I eventually decided to just go in and defeat the final boss just to finish the game and be free to move on to another game. The final boss was definitely a well-designed fight. By the time you reach it, you should have a well-enough understanding of the combat systems to make the fight more than doable; I completed it on my first try. The final phase was also very fun to do and felt a lot more consistent with the story when compared to the first game.

The only thing I will complain about was the fact that this game was pushing the switch to its limits. It was not uncommon at all to suffer some lag spikes when a lot of things were happening on the screen. But that is more of an issue with the system rather than the game. It wasn't super common, but it was common enough to keep the fact in mind.

I enjoyed this game very much and am excited to see what is next in the Zelda series.
