A short game with a decent variety of endings.

I thought the beginning of the game was enjoyable. It's a pretty simple RPG with "wholesome" elements, even though you know it's going to get messed up later on. The combat is really basic, and the game gives you a lot of opportunities to grind out levels, which makes bosses meaningless. They died in one-and-a-half auto-turns. There will always be a healing NPC before any major boss fight, so you can just phase in and out of the room to have enemies re-spawn, then just kill them.

I found it strange that the shops are nearly worthless because you can find items that are slightly better in chests on the islands. I never had to use a healing item either, except at the beginning before you have access to the healing NPCs. So 'pseudo' RPG is a good way to describe it because it lacks some traditional RPG elements. Rather, it uses the RPG element as a way for the user to interact with the story, rather than it just being a simple VN.

There are a lot of new characters who are introduced in the story but who don't get much screen time. This is kind of sad, as it leaves readers with a lot of questions about certain characters. For example, I would like to know how Wadanohara was introduced to her familiars. I don't recall ever seeing this in the story, and it makes me wonder about the characters' backstories.

The story in this game is lacking a bit, but it is made up for by the art, which is carrying the game a lot. The aesthetic and designs are really well done, and I think the game could have used more moments with the NPCs or memories. But it works for what the game is going for.

If you are a fan of RPGs made with RPG Maker, I recommend this game. However, the ending feels a bit rushed once you get past a certain part. I feel like the game would benefit greatly from additional content.
