This is probably what the AAA games industry is best at. Perfectly adequate open-world action games that look nice and are largely inoffensive. I can't say I felt any particularly negative emotions whilst playing Miles Morales, but then I also didn't feel much in the way of positive emotions. It's too easy and retreads too many Spider-Man tropes (oh wow, the villain is someone I know personally again? Twice??) and is almost identical to its predecessor, but it's not bad or anything. Playing the Insomniac Spider-Man games is like eating a huge bag of cheap popcorn. It's incredibly samey and sparks little actual joy, but it fills a certain craving and if you just don't think about it, you'll probably enjoy it.
