"A worthy sequel, but sadly some of the brilliance of Dark Souls was lost in translation. Dark Souls II is bogged down by misguided design choices (such as the change to the humanity system and the implementation of the agility stat) and a generally disconnected world (compared to the maze-like, interconnected structure of its predecessor). Nonetheless, it still boasts the usual FromSoft charm and challenge through its enticing level design and gripping combat encounters."
