played the version of this game that i think (?) is the definitive one with all the dream friends or whatever so i have no FUCKING clue what the base game was like but looking at the comments i can guess it was bland as shit but thats not the version ive played so i dont care
the game looks beautiful and controls wonderfully theres a roster of great copy abilities the friend mechanic feels kind of forced but i enjoyed my time nonetheless and using dream friends is based as fuck adventuring with my goth bf meta knight and such
problems arise when you realise that the world and level design in this game are dog shit so youre just going to press right on the analog and push the A button sometimes if you want to get through the (plain, bland and uninspired) levels with some "challenge" or always if you want to just get done with it and skip the whole thing super mario land 2 tanuki power style
and . btw this goes on for 3 or 4 hours or so and somehow i got bored as hell so that must mean something (reason why i havent even opened the extra modes because im already done with this game dear god)
the final boss is outstanding and i dont understand how it ended up being in this mid game but it boosted the score a bit for sure because thats like peak kirby tbh and the music is breathtaking but that can be said for the whole game or the whole kirby series for that matter
anyway i enjoyed my time doing the kissy kissy stuff with meta knight (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)
