everything I wanted from deltarune 2 I got it so I guess I'm irreparably enamoured of this game now forever and will have to wait aeons for the next chapters
picking up strong from the last game its kinda great how this manages to improve on the first game in almost every way while actually having the primary exoskeleton in its innermost layer
picking up from the predecessor main character kris begins a new day like he wasnt roaming around with a knife in his room at like 3 AM and susie just keeps pressing him to go back to the underworld to see the other characters bomb introduction I love the fact that even tho susie in the beginning was the antisocial rude gal she softened to it in some ways
when they go back to the underworld its actually evident that a new fountain has sprouted and now they have to get back to do the lightners work and fight a new umh fountain guardian how are they called actually I dont remember maybe they're not even called in any way so a new journey begins
so umh anyway anything beyond here could be SPOILER sooo youre advised
when they go back they explore the castle town and now it got some more NPCs and stuff to do actually expanding the little town we saw in chapter 1 and thats actually great now it feels like a town forrealsz
but they got homework so ralsei is like you little pieces of shits GO GET YOUR ASSIGNMENTS DOOOOOONE and they go to study at the library with noelle and berdly but they actually all end up in the underworld
there's talk of a queen who's actually the main antagonist of this chapter and they meet her after some kind of introduction
guys . when I tell you all that everything queen said was so funny I was always almost pissing my pants I don't even know why maybe my sense of humor is fucking broken but literally whatever she said was SOOOOOOO STUPID AND I COULDVE DIED like possibly one of my favourite characters in deltarune for now so anyway she captures noelle and berdly just kind of exist and self invites himself into the bad guys team actually not even queen wants him
now the main trio is actually kinda already established ok they get some more interactions with the old cast the new peeps and so on so forth but I guess they already had their main introduction so they're just gonna work on their character arcs from here
kris is still mute but ralsei is actually getting more and more comfortable with the gang and I'm so glad I can see how my little baby is working so fucking hard he's so cute wowowowowow ralsei I love you please sign this adoption papers and there's also susie who grew closer to the other 2 and also here im so happy to see her opening up to some people I….. love my babies so much I swear to fucking god
noelle is an odd one I still haven't really understood her entire character fully and maybe that's the point since its still chapter 2 . I can see a glimpse of her true nature here and there but this time she's just here to swoon at susie and get captured in all her might WHAT DO I LOVE THO is her character in the genocide run ooooooooh
so the genocide talk will wait but I actually played the pacifist route and watched the genocide route on YouTube but I didnt think it would've been so fucking depressing and good in this way honestly I'm impressed truly truly impressed at how mischievous the narrative in the what was it called snow queen route no idk thats the persona 1 route ok anyway yknow the one
berdly tho . mmmmmmmm guys I hate berdly I'm really sorry I saw that he actually got some sort of fanbase or something but really I can't stand him he's sooooooo annoying sorryyyy but I can say that what he says in the genocide route kinda struck home again its really good really really good I love the genocide
ok so the peeps split up and you get some alone time with noelle here is where you actually can see noelles little character development from a fearful cutie to some smacking ass pussy popping queen
so whatever there's a lot of interactions in-between but I'm clearly not gonna talk about dialogue after dialogue I'm not a tumblr fan page
final boss against the bitch and you gotta GET IN THE ROBOT SHINJI so you get in there and some punch out sequence battle plays out
you fuck her up and after some like 3 line of dialogues she goes omg actually ? it's better to be a good guy instead of a stupid ass hoe the end
after some more roaming in the castle town to see what changed from the first time you got here you just come back home and there's some more roaming in the real world town
ideally there's nothing too interesting out there just some laughs and gigs here and there and seeing undertale characters is always fun even though I still have no fucking idea what theyre doing in this world and how is it related to undertale
susie and kris come back home and susie is staying at his house so he just gets in his manic mood gets a knife jumps out of the room slashes the tires of the car comes back and eats some cake then they all fall asleep and kris wakes back up and creates a new fucking fountain woooooo he's the fountain maker wowowowowowo fatherless behaviour
so what happens is there's even a genocide route and in that route basically kris gaslights and mansplains noelle throughout they're little walk together and its fucking terrifying the way she changes attitude during battles or how she behaves or what she does UGHHHH and the use of the music or LACK THEREOF is incredible this is possibly one of my favourite part of this game because first berdly fucking dies and also because this is for me the real wicked genocide in the whole undertale universe like it's ok if you just get psycho and kill everyone in your way like it's FINE . but if you corrupt the sweetest little flower to kill every single enemy and also his friends ? you're absolutely wicked sick and twisted and you need to perish in hell THATS why this genocide route is fucking good

oh also spamton is a nice extra boss
if we're talking gameplay it's actually been improved from the first installment there's some more tweaks here and there and it feels actually smoother to battle around even though at its core it's the actual same battle system maybe also because you're gonna use noelle too in this one
OH AND ALSO side characters (as in battle companions) now can ACT instead of just relaying on kris to do that so this is actually a big step up for me everybody can do their own thing and elicits a lot of strategising here and there
battles did get actually a lot better and as expected from Toby you can see already a lot of experimentation in this department like the mecha punch out boss battle against queen is absolutely phenomenal stunning work
it's not yet to par with undertale sickest boss fights but I can see a lot of promise in this one I can't wait to be honest
also it's not something that evident but also the art department was updated a notch characters got some more portraits than the first game actually ranging from some very different emotions and even the spritework is more delicious you can't just make this shit up like its talent yall I'm sorry really in comparison to undertale I'm SO happy this kind of style got this kind of glow up because undertale was actually somehow rough around the edges but here every single scene is filled with absolute charm people I love gay sex
I'm not gonna even say anything about the music because I'm just gonna get in my loop about how good videogame music is and how good undertale (series) music is but actually I'm gonna do that and talk about the music LOLOLOLOLOL
