i have no idea what my life has come to rn since I've just been playing fnaf games and now fnaf fangames ? I might be insane maybe even more than when I marathoned most mainline resident evil games in a month earlier this year
as much as fangame theres a glimpse of greatness five nights at candys follows the formula of the first game step by step by adding its own original animatronics and giving the main gameplay a little shake
you got 2 doors and a window in front of you you can close then theres the always present battery state and you can open the security cameras to look for animatronics here and there you can look for them in the dark (most of them have glowing eyes so you're gonna be fine like that too) OOOOOOR you can activate night vision and thats it
I gotta say I never ran out of the electrical power supply even if I overused some doors sometimes . it's not really a bad thing per se but maybe it cancelled some of the tension I may have had . mind you this game didn't give me tension anyway because its way more boring than the first fnaf both in execution and pacing but it's certainly not a bad game
you got candy and cindy who act like bonnie and chika (you can just look at the doors and theyre gonna show their eyes in the dark if they're there) there's chester who has the same kind of premise of foxy but actually just acts like the other 2 cats although I think he's more aggressive then you have blank who I cannot think of any fnaf counterpart but basically it's a timer and the more you look at it the slower he's gonna act . I have a little issue with this guy because basically he's gonna be in CAM11 all the time and he's gonna slowly move but when he already moved if by chance you stumble on CAM5 (the one in front of you) you're gonna get an animation of him breaking the window making it impossible to counterattack because youre literally immobilised during the animation . ok whatever just dont look at CAM5 but it's kinda BS if you ask me then theres a penguin and he acts like any other animatronic but he's harder to spot in the cameras because he's like half a meter tall he's so cute youre better off just looking at the door(s ?) and then theres old candy who again acts like everyone else but she doesn't have eye glow so you're gonna have to look for her in the cameras and then the rat but you can not bother about him if you do not play night 6
umh so I have no idea why I explained every single animatronic here but I would put this in a chaotic scale between fnaf1 and fnaf2 sometimes these guys are gonna come at you super aggressively and shit but most of the time you're gonna do the same things over and over and there's no real dread anyway
I gotta say I'm pretty impressed at how many animatronics there are and how good the jumpscare animations ended up to be . there's also an underlying story here but I genuinely don't care you can't beat the original and even there I don't give a shit about the storyline thank you everybody have a nice day
