If the first game already had an incredible atmosphere, double that for Castlevania III. I think gameplay-wise I prefer this one, however I don't know why we are doing Star Wars-style callbacks to the first game. It's more confusing when taking into account that Castlevania II was a branch-off experimentation, so this would be considered the true sequel in essence, and it's already referencing/reusing stuff lmao.

Anyway, not much to say than that... enjoyable overall. Simon Belmont got cock-blocked by a girl npc in the sequel, so his descendant gets laid here. Happy ending!
