very interesting sci fi story that i don't have much to say about other than its good and fucking crazy how much it balances but still is very enjoyable. i like most of the cast but none of them are exceptional, the credit's scene pay off is fantastic though. also holy shit the battles. though really easy (played on normal mode) i really liked playing through the levels, unfortunately it takes up until 2-10 to get great to me. finishing the story and having the few final stages play out while now knowing most of what was going on was extremely hype. final stage is one of the most fun things i've ever experienced in a video game. the high stakes, music, and sheer amount of enemies on screen that makes the game run like dogshit was a blast.

anyways a fantastic experience with amazing visuals and music. story is very interesting and while the combat on its own is just fine, getting invested in the story makes the later parts insanely fun. and while i didn't end up absolutely loving any particular character, the relationships between them really make them likeable and i was very happy to get a proper epilogue with them all happy. ogata and miura are the best. and also yuki's 2188 design has giant milkers.
