it's probably the most barebones online uno ripoff out there which is perfect. card/puzzle/casual games should have the bare minimum of features to function while still being playable and fun.
not a huge skyrim guy anymore but trust i used to run this thing with so many porn mods it was barely hitting 20fps. i torrented the special edition specifically to capitalize on innovative dick&balls jiggle physics technology. anyways, i like the base game too. it's skyrim what can you say

complete and total concentrated garbage. this game should have 1 menu with, like, 3 to 10 features at the absolute most. in-app purchases completely unnecessary. it is a JIGSAW GAME. blatant cashgrab. absolute scumbag behavior from microsoft. there are literally ads playing constantly in the bottom right corner whenever you make a custom puzzle. why.
2008
what can i say? it's mahjong. perfect simplicity, all the necessary features right there. the 'titans' series contains some of the best casual games microsoft has ever developed. 2012 onward is, overall, a nosedive in quality. while i appreciate the QOL features in 2012 microsoft solitaire, they are, unfortunately, its main redeeming feature. i dream of a world of a complete collection of microsoft casual games with the beautiful artwork of the titans series combined with the necessary (and only the necessary!) features of the modern run of casual games. no ads, no bright flashy menus, just pure simplicity and function combined with the beauty of previous versions.

just not my cup of tea. i actually prefer the 1998 & 2007 versions over this edition of mahjong solitaire. very much an aesthetic issue to me but also incredibly obnoxious that free pc gamepass premium does NOT carry over to other games in the microsoft "solitaire & casual games" collection. far too 'modern' in its graphics while also being swamped with the most obnoxious advertisements i've ever seen (except for in the 2012 microsoft jigsaw game, which is also in the same casual game collection.)

i'll be the first to admit, i don't know "how" to "play" "chess." however, no amount of foreknowledge is needed to understand this to be essentially the best chess game ever made. calm, soothing, beautiful. reminiscent of simpler times, playing fire emblem awakening on the DS. revolutionary rotation mechanics and a deeper understanding of the esthetic qualities that cause so many to hold "chess" near and dear to their hearts.
don't bother playing this on PC. the PC version is hideous garbage. pretty much every game in this collection is better on mobile. i enjoy the card rewards and overall the aesthetics and playability are better than basically every other version of solitaire. this is my go-to when i need a good easy relaxing game of solitaire when i'm out and about. i just wish the PC web browser version were as sleek and good-looking as the mobile browser. not too sure about ad concentration as i simply use adblock. in short, pretty much the best version of solitaire right now (besides actually playing with cards) unless you're on PC.
unfortunately one of the best solitaires on the market right now. everything else is either hideous (solitairebliss on PC) unplayable (pre-2007 microsoft solitaire) or featureless (google solitaire). as much as i hate to give this 4 stars, until something better is on the market it'll have to do.

probably one of my least favorite version of solitaire. downloaded a pack of windows 7 games to try this again and wow the quality is just not there. obviously no ads is a plus (if you dont have pc gamepass) and i find the general design of microsoft solitare 2012 onwards to be obnoxious, but you have to admit the overall QOL and playability is just not there in earlier versions. as much as i hate to say it, i'm willing to take the shitty mobile game vibes of later solitaires in exchange for not having to memorize 20 keybinds like i'm playing fucking nethack

pretty OK. score bonus by virtue of being solitaire but missing some pretty important QOL features from the microsoft suite. bonus for no ads. overall decent experience. mostly play this on wifi where normal game sites are blocked.
