After classes at the community college, I'd often go to the mall to visit the game shops and to get a plushie keychain from the Pokemon Center vending machine.
On this particular day, I wandered into the GameStop with no goal in mind, just browsing. I overheard some customers talking about this new game, Persona 5. As a Nintendo baby, JRPGs kinda slipped my radar completely, much less niche Atlus JRGPs.
The Persona 5 steel case was sitting there on the shelf, release day. Riding the impulse, I went for it - and now I've played Persona 4, Persona 3 FES, collected physical editions of P5 on PS3 & PS4, got into Shin Megami Tensei, played Nocturne, have a Japanese copy of P3P, and I'm very excited for the P3 remake.
So, damage done, I guess.
