The epitome of escapism. To this day, I love firing Skrim up, listening to Jeremy Soule's iconic soundtrack with headphones whilst wandering around the incredible world they created, just shooting the shit. Whenever I'm stressed, this reminds me of simpler times and immediately cheers me up.

The Last of Us, to this day, remains the greatest game I have ever played. No game has ever affected me so much. You can't help but fall in love with the characters despite their morally grey actions throughout their incredible journey through a post-apocalyptic American wasteland, where nature has reclaimed iconic landmarks. This, coupled with Gustavo Santaolalla's inconic score which gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, has cemented The Last of Us as my all-time favourite game.

This is the first game I remember falling in love with, and what I ultimately credit for my love of video games. Everything about this game is perfect to me, even to this day. The story, the characters, the soundtrack, the combat - everything. To me, this is perfection and always will be.

Probably my most controversial review, but I did not enjoy this at all. Found the story far too slow of a burn and the controls were not at all user friendly. Genuinely felt a chore playing. Do not understand how it's so unanimously loved.

1.5 stars for the graphics, as it's undeniably beautiful.
