Fantastic game, while not perfect I enjoyed it massively and sunk more hours into it than I have with any other singleplayer game in recent memory - really looking forward to the story DLC later this year

Very fun gameplay, lots of compelling characters and sidequests, a really cool world to explore and a great OST as per with Xenoblade games. The villains are not quite the best as others have said but that didn't hinder my enjoyment too much

Some aspects of this game I like quite a bit but it is heavily dragged down by being a rough unfinished mess and the lack of scaling (the three routes actually being free to challenge in any order would be nice)

The last section of the game was really cool and I'm hoping for more of that from the postgame and future DLC/patches

Pros:
+Open world is cool, actually pushes the series forwards
+A lot of the new Pokémon designs are great
+Terastallization is a fun gimmick
+Paradox Pokémon are cool
+Good characters and writing
+Area Zero
+The music
+Regional dex is the perfect size
+Improved Pokémon models look great

Cons:
-No level/team scaling
-Game is way more linear than it should be
-The path that the game expects you to follow is badly communicated
-Starfall Street and Path of Legends are too repetitive
-Not enough story, mainly relegated to cutscenes shoved at the end of the repetitive gameplay segments (the story for both Arven and Team Star)
-The graphics, bugs, performance, etc.
-Very limited customisation
-Enemy trainer AI is pathetic (no items???)

Easily the best of the trilogy, an insanely satisfying game with fantastic cases front to back

A solid game, but not as good as its predecessor other than the excellent final case
