One of the most visceral gaming experiences I've ever played through...
Most who haven't played would call me crazy for that (and some have). But holy shit, between the constant gruesome (bordering on horrifying) climaxes and the twists that make you constantly question your sense of morality and judgement, I was in a similar headspace as the main characters, a blurred sense of what I'm even fighting for.
What an incredible experience this was. I don't think it's as good overall as The Last of Us 1 (mostly in part due to final couple of chapters that felt rushed and some sorta cringe writing here and there i.e. Dina), but it comes very very close and is up there with some of the most impactful experiences I've had from a Playstation title.
Sidenote: my god was the gamer-whining when this came out completely embarrassing
