yeah i used the konami code to beat this, but honestly the game is balanced enough to where it is very possible to get good enough to finish the game without needing it. I just haven't gotten around to doing a playthrough in that vein just yet. Contra has its own unique brand of run n' gun gameplay compared to other games in the genre, and while it technically all started in the arcade, the NES port is cooler
