not at all what i really expected or wanted out of a sam and max game honestly. too lovecraftian horror-y and not as much fun wacky haha times-y. It seemed like the plot was trying to take itself more seriously than usual with this series, and that's not very fun I guess. Sure season 2 had some satanic shit goin down with it but it always felt like they were playing it for laughs whereas this felt more genuine with its lovecraftian nonsense. The new graphical engine looks great and the UI is not only more dynamic but also works well with a controller for those playing on console. Not my favorite, but sam & max is still sam & max at its core.
