Man this game has EVERYTHING that kid me liked in games. There's fun cartoony characters, colorful environments, a great soundtrack, an involved and emotional story that takes itself seriously in a very heartfelt way, mfin slide levels, incredible vibes and fun gameplay that provides a great level of engagement and challenge. If this went multiplat on gamecube so kid me could have played it, this would likely be up there with sonic adventure 2 as the kinda thing that could change a man with its soul. But alas, I did not have a PS2 growing up and we do not live in that timeline so I only now have played this game. And it's great! Pretty much enhances everything the first game did with the polish you'd expect from a generational leap. Absolutely worth a play.
