a friend came over today with their steam deck and insisted I give it a shot so I did. Basically it's a tech demo for the system with a bit of bizarre portal lore implications. Writing is as solidly portal as always and the hardware for the steam deck certainly seems promising. The track-ball style touch pads have really cool haptic feedback, the graphical fidelity is really nice, and the touch sensors on the analog sticks definitely stuck out the most to me about the hardware. The whole thing is about 30 minutes and it does its job demonstrating what it needs to do, nothing more, nothing less.

the steam deck would make a killer emulation machine though
