kakauw finished Honkai: Star Rail - Farewell, Penacony
Honestly, it's one of the best stories I've ever had the honor of experiencing in a game, and I happily loved every part of the journey through Pennacony. Honkai: Star Rail captivates me in a splendid, inexplicable, and extremely immersive way. I love this game with all my heart and I adored Pennacony more than I ever thought I could love a game's story. Thank you, Hoyoverse, for having the courage to expand the Honkai universe and for creating such a wonderful game for us to enjoy.

kakauw played OneShot
"OneShot" is an indie gem that transcends conventional entertainment experiences, crafting a narrative as profound as it is captivating. Developed by Future Cat LLC and published by DANGEN Entertainment, "OneShot" offers a journey that blurs the lines between player and protagonist, forging an unforgettable bond that lingers long after the game is over.

At the heart of "OneShot" is the story of Niko, a child-like entity who awakens in a surreal, decaying world with a singular mission: to restore light to a sunless realm. This seemingly simple quest is imbued with deep existential themes and a rich narrative that explores concepts of purpose, identity, and sacrifice. The game's world is crafted with a charming and melancholic pixel art style, drawing players into its unique atmosphere.

What sets "OneShot" apart is its ability to break the fourth wall, engaging the player in ways that few games dare to attempt. Niko is aware of the player's presence, and this awareness is skillfully integrated into the gameplay and narrative. The game frequently interacts with the player outside its own window, manipulating files on the computer and using real-world elements to create puzzles that require thinking beyond the screen. This clever use of meta-narrative not only challenges traditional gameplay mechanics but also deepens the connection between the player and Niko.

The puzzles in "OneShot" are meticulously designed, demanding not just logic but also emotional investment. Each challenge is intrinsically tied to the world and the story, ensuring that players remain consistently engaged with both the mechanics and the narrative. The game's soundtrack, composed by Michael Shirt, perfectly complements its themes, blending ethereal and somber tones that heighten the emotional impact of each moment.

Niko's journey is filled with engaging interactions and memorable characters that add depth to the world and the narrative. The dialogue is heartfelt, often infused with a sense of melancholy and hope that resonates deeply. As players guide Niko through this decaying world, they are faced with decisions that carry real weight, culminating in an ending that is both bittersweet and thought-provoking.

"OneShot" is not just a game; it is an experience that invites players to reflect on their role and impact within the story. It challenges perceptions, evokes emotions, and leaves a lasting impression with its unique approach to storytelling and gameplay. For those willing to embark on this one-of-a-kind journey, "OneShot" promises an adventure that transcends the screen and touches the heart, proving that sometimes, just one shot is enough to create something truly extraordinary.
