Inside is a very good example of how sometimes it's beneficial to play games at the time of their release. I like it, the atmosphere is great and especially the acoustics are immensely threatening. Moreover, I find great pleasure in the open narrative that invites interpretation.

But over the years I've played numerous puzzle platformers with an artistic touch, some of which were inspired by Inside. And just like those copycats, Inside remains very superficial in terms of its gameplay. Some puzzles are creative, but so short and simple that they can hardly really work. So for me, Inside is a very good game that I want far more of, because the game itself only briefly teases me.
