The greatest game of all time, until it isn’t. Takes a dip in quality when you get to Mountaintop of the Giants, then a tremendous nosedive at Crumbling Farum Azula until you get to the greatness of Maliketh, one of the greatest bosses, I had hope too when going back to Leyndell and having another one of the greatest bosses in Hoarah Loux, the epicness of Radagon, only to get hit with the bullshit that is the Elden Beast. This game is so good and consistent and then it just isn’t. True shame. Bloodborne way better

I'd argue that Bloodborne's quality, especially in level design, also takes a nosedive towards the end. In fact most Fromsoft games tend to do that, but it's true that it's even more egregious in Elden Ring.

Bloodborne's base game has the worst bosses in the entire SoulsBorne franchise, which is enough to put it below Elden Ring for me. I do agree that the Mountaintop of the Giants is not great though.
wtf, bloodborne has great bosses. You cant say that shit when demons/ds2 exist

Celestial Emissary, Witch of Hemwick and Blood Starved Beast are all terrible. The only bosses in the game I enjoy are Martry Logarius, Father Gascoigne and Gherman. Bloodborne bosses have the issue of just being able to stick to their legs/back because of their size and wail on them. The DLC is the only reason Bloodborne's bosses are seen as amazing.
celestial is easy yeah but its not terrible imo, witch of hemwick sucks yeah but at least it has one of the best songs in the game and bsb is good so i dont know why you called that terrible lol, only bad boss imo is micolash. I'd take all of those over almost any ds2/demons boss...and over 80% of elden rings bosses lol
either way, great review kuroyasha ignore us lol

Yeah hard disagree. Elden Ring had fantastic bosses, best in the entire series. Bloodstarved Beast was just dodging left repeatedly. Bloodborne bosses have great music but that's about it. Mergo's Wet Nurse, Amygdala, Rom, Micolash and One Reborn were all terrible as well. The game's pattern of gimmick fights or large bosses you just sit behind isn't varied or interesting. It's humanoid bosses are the ones hailed as masterpieces for a reason, they actually benefit the combat system. It says a lot about the quality of the overall bosses when Shadows of Yharnam, a gank fight between three rather uninteresting enemies, is one of the better fights in the base game.
yeah hard disagree, elden ring had some great bosses but it also has a ton of bad/mediocre bosses, more than any souls game. but I'm not gonna continue this since it's not gonna end otherwise
