Such a fun game! The story is surprisingly good for a Metroid game and I actually preferred the environmental storytelling here more than Super. The music is great and the game presents itself well, albeit a little railroady but given what the game is trying to do I’ll let it slide.

This game is definitely the easiest Metroid or maybe that’s due to me playing through these in quick succession. I actually prefer the platforming in this game over Super which was just frustrating at worst and okay at best. While there are some missing features from Super, I do find this to be a great package regardless.

This so far might be my favorite Metroid game, at least in the 2D realm. I did skip over Samus Returns and I have yet to play Dread. I’m gonna play through the Prime games before I play what’s supposed to be the final game in the series. Anyways, I’m enjoying the Metroid series so far and I had a blast with this game!
