Absolutely loved it. Only played elden ring from this genre before this and the variety of viable combat approaches in LoP made fights so engaging. Rocked heavy weapons and spent the first few deaths learning the perfect guards for every boss. Every boss except the black rabbit brotherhood pt 1 felt learnable and fair and pulling off a string of perfect guards felt so good. Opted not to use summons for this game, which i abused the hell out of with elden ring. This actually makes me more interested in the linear souls titles, i really like the loop of clearing the areas and going straight to the next boss. Art direction was very cool too, was not expecting to be into the steampunk fairytale stuff but they nailed it.

Laxasia took me 50+ tries, hardest boss i’ve ever beaten, but every attempt i got a teensy bit further. I’d spent the whole game parrying so nameless puppet wasn’t terrible, something ab laxasai’s second phase took forever to click. King of puppets was very hard to parry all the way through, i switched to dodging and found that to be orders of magnitude easier!
