the amount of effort put into the writing in this game is insane. every time characters do callbacks to the source material i smile an insane grin like it's got such an established sense of time ???
plus i love how characters will just casually namedrop actual brand names instead of just saying "that store" or "that clothes brand" feels like they're so real lol

but really... every single character (other than mari) having fully voiced lines is crazy i haven't played a lot of games with game-original plot based on animanga but it feels astounding that that much content plays out
have i mentioned how much i love the vas' performances. they're incredibly memorable, perfect for their roles, and all give the girls such fun quirks in their speech ...!!!! GAH

why on god's green earth is mari french though and why'd they never mention that in game. my hc is that her parents are dutch but she was born and raised in france (truth)

mari is great in the personality department. im ngl sometimes the japan obsession feels like WAY too much but the fact that 90% of the time the squad is like o i hadn't ever thought about it that way before... it is really nice! and they have a bonding moment and they're all happier like the way other characters comment on how happy and close they are will make me ARGH
the way she has differing relationships with her friends based on her personality and the way her demeanor reflects on them (like how she totally enables tomomiki but also has really sweet lowkey moments with namiko) love how they weren't afraid to make her her own person. like i know this sounds bottom of the barrel but she feels like she's been there all along PERFECTLY. also her design is just super cute anyway i love silly clumsy tall girls!!!! YEAHHHHHH
