I don't think thats the way to approach this, no need to want every sequels to be one thing or another.
There are plenty of sequels that I enjoy that live on the fact that they exist to ponder on the previously stablished material, but I don't think enough transformative effort was made on this one, especially given how little there is to actually say about milk inside.
