A product of its time is easily one way of describing it. Of the era of being in a sea of other licensed garbage that overwhelmed the 6th generation. I've never watched any of the Sopranos, this game was released in between the fifth & sixth season of the show according to those famillar with the show itself.

You're Joey LaRocca in the mob, in this beat-em-up game (which is too familiar to yakuza). The game is quite shallow on its dialogue with it just boils down to "HEY JOEY, GRABBA TONY FOR ME WHY DONTCHA!!" And just going back and forth with the two or three characters you speak to, ready up for the mission and then you start. The combat and enemies are always janky, and you better hope that you know how to get yourself off the ground as soon as you fall down, because if you can't do that. consider yourself screwed over, especially if you're getting kicked around by 3 guys at once. After you fight that group of guys you run to the next point with you character freezing halfway through what you're doing to play a cutscene. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy and it got a good chuckle out of me from a few points in the game, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you're a fan of this show or are just looking for something that you and you're friends could just have something mindlessly stupid/fun on for this short 3 hour game.
