If I had to rank this game in my personal list of favorite FFs, XVI would be near the top. This game has some of the best developed characters I’ve seen in an RPG—no doubt because of CBU 3’s experience with XIV and the writing in that game. While the story’s pacing overall can be slow, both to its detriment and to its advantage, I had a great time following these characters and seeing this mystery through. And once that ending hits you… wow does it hit you.
