i wanted to like bloodborne as much as everyone else did - and i do like it! i'm not even sure where the disparity comes. i like the lore, but not as much as dark souls. i like the combat, but not as much as dark souls. maybe i'd like it more if i'd never played DS? that being said, the old hunters is a delicious, girthy dick and i'm down to suck it all day

The real problem with the combat in Bloodborne for me is the fact that they hide so many of the really interesting weapons so far into the game. Bloodborne on PC would be worth it just for the inevitable mod that makes every weapon available from the start. Also, the transformed hunter's axe charged R2 completely breaks the game in a way that doesn't necessarily feel fun after awhile.
