@jeanlepoint yeah, a lot of mainstream jrpgs tend to follow a very similar path with their story, it taking ages for anything landmark to occur and the writing inbetween not being particularly stylish or meaningful. Its worse here because I already played smtv when it first released, and I cant really picture Vegenence outside of it because its literally the same exact game for 40 hours until you finally see a new area with new stuff happening. Even if you never played the og I still dont think its worth it at all. Its a huge time dump for something that isnt particularly fun.
Always hurts to spend 60 dollars on shit like this cause in the back of my mind im thinking I could of bought something better. I could be playing Little Kitty Big City right now. I could be an adorable cat rn.

moschidae commented on MiraMiraOTW's review of Kingdom Hearts
I really wish i liked Kingdom Hearts, but I just dislike Disney too much to ever feel like I could accept that part of it.

I also had the epiphany last year that kh is a kind of perfect love letter to childhood. There isnt really anything like it, like Disney is such a huge part of childrens lives and to have it integrated into a story like this which is so earnest and unique is really something else. Its not just focused on being "cool" but it has a lot of emotional nuance that relies on feeling more than something making sense, which is why kids play it and its like, the most intense thing theyve ever seen. I get really scared myself that Im going to one day stop being honest with my feelings and emotions and stop being able to connect with things naturally, so kind of scary read for me and im not sure i fully agree with some of it but... still very nice. Sorry if this doesnt make sense its 102 degrees
