-relatively original and interesting story
-new and pretty monster design
-the parts that are good feel really well done and cared about
-teenagers texting but it reads normally for the most part

-repetitive (as expected with a free 2 hour game but still worth noting)
- really well done and well paced moments are broken up by rushed and strange character dialogue, notes, interactions or cutscenes
- half assed live action is jarring in comparison to the bland mobile game-looking 3d model for anita! she has no expression and it doesn't feel intentional
-characters feel incredibly charmless compared to older silent hill titles
-atmosphere is lacking when it isn't relying on what makes silent hill so well known (fog, music, sound design, red? areas)
so i'm unsure if this would hold up as a game at all if it wasn't just for it being a silent hill title

ultimately i hope most of the cons are due to it being such a short game and not costing any money! but if this is supposedly what is to introduce the new comeback of silent hill games i am worried, particularly for the sh2 remake and for townfall. the good parts are done well but it's hard to enjoy what's there when it doesn't stay consistent
