One of the best Vanillaware has to offer. My first experience with this dev was with Odin Sphere (That still to this moment has not been finished by me lol, things happened) But as soon as I got to lay my eyes on the art and hear the music, it sure made a mark in my brain.
Fast forward to now, Muramasa: The Demon Blade was one of the most delightful experiences I had this year. The gameplay is so addicting, staking combos and learning how to manage your Katanas was a puzzle in of itself. Some of the levels kinda merge a little by the second route with Kisuke, but the feeling of familiarity and the gorgeous, detailed masterful of the backgrounds interacting with the npcs and your characters is so amazing.

The voice acting does so much to give the characters some depth, especially with Momohime and Momohime Jinkuro by Miyuki Sawashiro that put out so much nuance between the two with her delivery alone, and the other voice actors don´t fall behind too. The classical soul of traditional japanese kabuki theater is so good that you forget you are playing a video game and the music gorgeous too.

The only thing that made me a little sore that the end was the lack of new moves to learn, by then you have already mastered the simple controls, what saves it is the huge selection of katanas and how immersive the world is. I wish I had acess to the Vita version, even after completing everything the game has to offer, am still craving more.
