as soon as aitsf was announced i was like “i need to play this NOW!” as a chronic zero escape fan, and i was not disappointed. i know aitsf is not for everyone as it definitely had its weird/cringe moments but i enjoyed it. the timelines and multiple endings were not new to me and felt like a cousin to the zero escape series. unlike zero escape, though, the somniums feel less like ze’s puzzles and more like a guessing puzzle on what made it work. the final ending reveal was really surprising and no one could’ve ever guessed it was coming. i also love the dynamics of date/mizuki and date/aiba together and the dialogue can be absolutely hilarious. not for everyone, but i’d recommend to at least give it a try, especially to fellow zero escape fans who have not played it yet.
