Bio
Hi there! My name is omega7475 (or thecalicrusher in some circles.) As you can see, this is my Backloggd account! This is how I review games on here! I go from Graphics, to Music, to Gameplay, to Difficulty, to Story, and to Replayability in that order. (Depending on the game/genre, I may add or remove certain criteria.) Feel free to look around! :)

The greatest tech demo of all time (despite there being like, no competition lol.) (Playtime: 8 hours), (Controller Used: DualSense), (Completed digitally, but no duh lol), (Platinumed).

Graphics: Man, this game is really pretty. The little bots that are references to other PlayStation games are so cute, like gaw damn. There's so many references to, (I'm pretty sure there's more than 100, which is insane.) The artifacts that you can collect are also so accurate. You can even move them around and fiddle with them with the DualSense controller.

Music: The music is honestly one of the game's weakest aspects in my opinion. The only songs that were memorable were the ones in CPU Plaza, GPU Jungle, and PlayStation Labo.

Gameplay: Astro is such a blast to control in this game. He feels almost perfect. I do kinda wish he was faster. Moving around CPU Plaza and PlayStation Labo can feel a tad slow at times.

Difficulty: This game is really easy lol. I really wish it was harder. I would've loved an unlockable hard mode or something once beating the game.

Story: To my knowledge, this game doesn't have one, but honestly, it doesn't really need one lol. It's just a showcase for the DualSense controller, and a darn good one at that.

Replayability: The only replayable aspect of this game are the time trials which there are only eight of. Some more would have been nice.

Overall, this game is really good. It was an excellent showcase of the DualSense controller. I haven't been this impressed with a controller in a long while. I just wish there was more. I think a world or two based on the PSP and the PS Vita would have been great. I also wish there were more bosses. Bosses based off of different tech demos from PlayStation’s entire history, (like the dinosaur at the end) would have been so cool. I was originally going to give this game a 3.5/5, but the references, callbacks, nods, and the PlayStation Vita acknowledgement gives this game a 4/5 in my book.
