All of my games are rated according to how well they do their job.
For example, a story-rich game would be rated on the merit of its story, world and gameplay, while a party game I play with friends will be rated on how much fun it is to play.
This is basically just to say that a game that changed my life could have the same rating as a game I had fun playing with pals for three weeks haha.

phenomenal, moving, thematically charged masterpiece that I have had the pleasure of putting in over 150 hours into and still never getting bored.
the world of Aionios is so interesting and unique that usual methods of world-building don't work due to the nature of the world and monolithsoft still manage to craft an amazing world that keeps the player asking questions until the very end.
The combat is the easiest to understand in the series and chain attacks are as satisfying as ever. Combat is so incredibly customisable through classes and swapping characters mid fight that I can say with absolute certainty no two playthroughs will be the same.
The story is amazing in its own right but even the side quests manage to keep me invested. XBC3's side quests are incredible at fleshing out super minor characters to the point I can remember the names of certain character that would wouldn't meet in the main story and I believe that speaks volumes to the writing in this game.
Play it.

Improves on base Persona 5 so much it makes ever touching a copy of base P5 heresy, unless its to listen to the OP or ED.
The third-semester contains the best writing of any ATLUS game I've played (haven't played p1, 2 or 3 as of writing) and elevates the story and characters to new heights.
Royal also improves on the combat that I thought was already perfect in base P5, making the best turn-based combat ever flow better than ever.
Plus the additions to the OST are some of the best songs from modern persona games. Our Light and No More What Ifs got me sobbing.
All of these additions are more make this game easily a 5/5 for me and I recommend it to anyone with the time to take on its massive, but worth it, run time. It took me 125 hours to beat with all achievements.
