If you are a cat person then this is the game for you. Beneath the bonnet is a light action adventure with some collectables (not too much) and some not too hard puzzles. But the world, the environmental story-telling, the eye for details and the background that tells you just the right amount of information are fantastic. Every scene oozes that sense of "here has been people". Although just being robots, interacting with them is great. Most of them have just 2-3 sentences to say but paired with the different styles of their clothing they show so much character. Especially the early slums are so wholesome. There are some creepy parts but this wholesomeness drags through the whole game. There are neat places to lay down and take a nap. Robots roam the streets, meet up at the pub or get a haircut. I even got emotional at some goodbyes. So this is probably more of a game that makes you feel. That gives you a good vibe (most of the time). If you are looking for a challenge then you are wrong here. Most of the time you press a button to jump from ledge to ledge and talk to people. But looking at Stray as a whole this is definitely a special game that is one of a kind. Only the ending could have been made more detailed for a rounded conclusion.
