Well, current Fifa sucks, this one not as much as the others, but it still sucks a lot. Old Fifas used to entertain you until the next year's release, and they still are fantastic games today. Fifa 10, 12, and 13, are games that i play currently and slam dunk this into a trashcan. These current games, you can enjoy for a week or two, until you notice how awful the gameplay is, and, no matter the fucking rainbow colored ultimate team cards you can get, nothing matters when your gameplay is bad. And i'm talking about the offline experience, because luckly i never played Ultimate Team in my life, but i can imagine the nightmare of players dealing with bugs, connection problems, micro transactions, handicap, 99 overall cards and much more. Awful movement, not imaginative with the way you can play, when you can just bug with lob passes or do some awful dribbles with your centerback and score with him, with movements that make the player look like a worm. 60 overall player moves like a 90 overall player, but a 90 overall player can be as stupid as a 40 overall player due to the imbecile AI. Specially this year, goalkeepers are as stupid as they can get, it's unbberable, the goalkeepers never can defend a ball without letting it fall on the grass, and the animation of them trying to defend look super poor, looks robotic and unrealistic, goals simply don't look convincing.

I don't care about Ultimate Team, i don't play online, i like a solo, offline experience, and Fifa is absurdly poor. Volta is a poorly made Fifa Street, i played this mode on Fifa 20 and its absurdly corny, and it doesn't add into the experience. Career mode, which should have giant emphasis, is mediocre. It sure has mechanics here n there with the training, dialogues with players, interviews and all that, but they get repetitive fast. I mean, playing Fifa 12 with little to do on the career mode, is more enjoyable than this piece of garbage, with the still awful scouting with no freedom to freely buy a young player with good potential like the old games (i had to search the freaking overall and price of every single player i wanted). There are repetitive interviews that sometimes don't make any sense (like, i just got in a team, and they ask me about why i'm still putting certain player to play the matches considering his poor form, but i just got here????), repetitive scenarios with the same "out-of-nowhere-your-player-can't-score-goals", etc.

One thing that bothered me is the commentary team change, Martin Tyler and Alan Smith were fantastic, super natural and genuine commentary, sounding super iconic and memorable, but, idk why, they out of nowhere changed. I mean, these new commentators aren't bad, but considering they are new, they sound repetitive, and with little to add compared to the progression of Martin and Tyler's attention to detail in commentary, with the big addition of vocal lines year to year.

The only thing this game actually change, is the menu, that old menu was the same from Fifa 14 to 2021, just changing the colors, wtf???

Still, this is not a good game, not good at all. Fifa 23 will be EA's last, but i'm sure it's not gonna be good, Fifa hasn't been a solid football experience in years, being unrealistic, and not even being a fun arcade experience. I'm just curious with what will come next, but also scared.
